  1. Looking at that chart it appears we may have a pretty good correlation between Democratic voting and climate warming.

  2. Yep! The only area “above normal” was around the Washington Area!!! LOL! Boy, are they full of it! HOT AIR!!! They did get my area in Ohio right! Below normal Temps!!! Accelerating only in the minds of the Alarmists!!
Back in the 60’s was like this now! Had some slight snow last night….

  4. Don’t worry, the alarmist will disregard low temps over 3.3 million square miles as a minor issue not relevant to the “whole” planet. The rest of the planet MUST have gotten warmer.

    Alarmist dorks

  5. cfdman – if you could, tell us what the surface area of the Earth is, and what proportion of that the US represents.

  6. Jennifer,

Don’t be a dork, do the calc yourself if you have a point to make (which I doubt#.

You would have to include Canada and Mexico to properly defend against what I imagine would be your argument, unless you are prepared to argue that the effect ends at the border. I think your not that stupid #overly optimistic?).

But I’ll do it for you, its a tad over 18% of the land mass. Nothing but satellite data for the water, but that shows cooling as well, so your screwed there too. Where the heck is the alarmist argument going to hide now, the upper atmosphere. No wait, thats cooling as well. Perhaps the planet core is warming…no, thats cooling as well.

Thanks for the laugh Jennifer/Scientist – I recognize your typing….idiot

  7. Nice… screw up a really basic calculation, make up some things that you think are cooling, and then throw some insults. You really are a stupid little boy.

  8. “Cooler than what, scientist?”

    Jennifer,
Global temperature is cooler in Oct/08 than in January 2008. That’s the periods used in the post’s map.

BTW, you may not know but the USA’s temperatures are quite a nail in the head of warmists: it’s just 3% of the Earth surface but concentrates more than 2/3 of ALL temperatures stations ! And that’s also where there is no global warming : the hottest years for the US is in the 1930s, well before the GHG effect becomes a problem. It’s like the more you have data, the less there is AGW.
    Inconvenient truth isn’t it ?

  9. Demsure: UAH appear to be the only people with an October temperature anomaly on the web. They give an anomaly of -0.05 in January 2008, and 0.211 in October 2008. What data are you using to claim that global temperatures are lower in October than they were in January?

For your second point to have any relevance, you need to first calculate what minimum sampling rate you think is necessary for a useful measure of global temperature, and then show that this minimum is not met. Can you do that?

  10. ‘Jennifer’ :

“Why do you think US temperatures should tell us something about global warming?”

Meaning: when someone else uses a small sample size, object to it…

“What data are you using to claim that global temperatures are lower in October than they were in January?”

Meaning: When I use a selective sample size to prove my point, it’s OK…
