Ethanol using up scarce water, farmland. Foods staples selling at record high prices. Deforestation of the "lungs" of the planet in Indonesia and Brazil. Food riots. Killing off of endangered species - such as orangutang to make room for palm oil plantations.</p> <p>What has government ever accomplished, that you would invest faith in their ability to mitigate climate change (or any other issue they have applied their hand to)? </p> we have already seen a multitude of negative consequences from government mitigation of global warming.
