My honest perception is that this is all a "game"...a "mass movement". Obviously numerous environmental movements on their own....could not gain superiority over the public with small problems. So the wise of the groups...over twenty-five years ago....dreamed up this joint operation. The goal...one umbrella that all environmentalists and social-cause groups could gather under....with media support that would eventually come. Every step of the way...as skeptics took apart false databases, false analysis, false science reporting, and even fluffy video productions by former vice presidents...the group simply moved on. They know that they have a movement that going on...and it'll be hard to stop it.

Pick up Eric Hoffer's book on Mass Movements...and study how these are packaged and presented to a unsuspecting public. His book is from the 1950s....fits perfect for this entire movement. I don't see any real method today of stopping the movement. We would need a international crisis like a meteor strike wiping out 500,000 lives...to set them back forty years. Trying to discuss their false agenda in public doesn't help because they tend to avoid confrontational forums...where solar scientists might bring up sunspots and solar activity. Trying to stand in a group of people rarely works because so few understood science in high school or college....so their depth of understanding is 2nd grade science...meaning that you could say that tree bark is good to chew on....and they'd believe you as long as you were a "tree bark expert".

I entirely agree. I watched a BBC report on this tonight and it was truly shocking in its ignorance and manipulation of data. For an organisation that is supposed to present a balanced view it was incontrovertible evidence that they are merely a mouthpiece for the alarmists. They foolishly connected the recent Bangladesh cyclone with global warming as well as saying Ban Ki-Moon had been to Antarctica to "see the effects of climate change" without actually pointing out what they were. I wasn't surprised to see that they failed to mention the seemingly never-ending winter that has been causing chaos in parts of some South American countries, nor have they once mentioned the Antarctic sea ice record since it was announced.

Also, how the UN is getting away with this is astonishing. It is quite simply the most absurd manipulation of science in the past 100 years. It is a hurricane of ideology tearing through the once respected sciences of climatology and meteorology that will leave their reputations in tatters when the real truth inevitably emerges.

I really hope the world cools noticably in the very near future. It would certainly be a disaster for crops and the like but in terms of destroying this most heinous of scams before we get forced back into a world of substandard quality of life, it would be the lesser of two evils.
